Al Franken to Resign From Senate Amid Harassment Allegations. . Senator Al Franken of Minnesota announced on Thursday that he would resign. Six women accused Al Franken of sexual harassment. He denied the allegations of groping and improper advances. When he gave his not so apologetic speech he called out president Trump and Moore. This article is important because it shows how unfair it is for Donald Trump to be our president. Many others are paying for their horrible behavior and yet like Al Franken said we have someone who openly spoke about sexual harassment representing the country. Actions speak louder than words and the country can say equal rights for all, but people in power have more rights.
